At the stroke of midnight..it's SHUFFLE UP AND DEAL !!!

As you can tell from Gary's posts..I'm a little too excited for this month. But alas, that's what happens when :
* you're eliminated from your March Madness pool during the Sweet Sixteen games
* your favourite hockey team threatens to make their annual surge for the 9th spot in the conference and you're not sure what to cheer for
* you're a degenerate

I'm giddy about the fact that 10 degens have begun the month-long journey in the hopes of acheiving greatness. It's kinda like Miss America..except we all nailed the swimsuit contest and have advanced to the Final 10. From this group of 10, one of us will have our FullTiltPoker (FTP) name engraved on a trophy (scroll down for a picture of the trophy).

This tourney is NOT as predicatable as it may seem. In December when we ran MCFC 1, I bolted off to a huge lead after day 3 by running my $50 to $400 by taking a couple of risks and running real good. I soon came crashing down hard. The grindathon then went on for a couple of weeks and the stage was set for the final couple of days where at one point, we were all within $50 of each other. I played about 10 hours on Dec 30th and wound up passing DC going into the final day. On Dec 31st, DC went on the heater of all heaters, won all the coinflips he needed to, sucked out everytime he needed a card and claimed the championship, trophy and exclusive bragging rights for 4 months.

Rules
* We all start with $50 in our account.
* This competition is limited to tournaments under the SNG tab with a minimum of 2 participants (Heads-up) to a maximum of 180.
* You're allowed to play any denomination of tournament, as long as you don't exceed your current bankroll.
* If you bankroll drops below $5, you're allowed to rebuy and add $50 to your account. Rebuys have to be $50 to keep the accounting easy. You can't rebuy until your bankroll drops below the $5 threshold.
* You have to play a best of 3 headsup with every other competitor. We suggest you play $5 tourneys, but if you and your competitor agree to play for more, that's fine. We'll set up a grid to show how everyone's doing in the headsup battle. It's up to you co-ordinate your tourneys as well as to report your results.
* we'll do our best to co-ordinate a SNG where all of us can enter the tourney. This will be tricky given schedules, but we'll do our best.

The Winner
will be declared as the competitor with the most profit as of 11:59pm on April 30th.
While we'll rely on the honour system, stats can be verified on www.officialpokerrankings.com . This is a site worth signing up for a free account. You can track your stats as well as all the other MCFC competitiors.

Bankroll Updates
: Every day that you play, please provide an update on your totals. Use the following format : Current Bankroll: $82.46 (with x REBUY). The Current Bankroll figure is the amount in your account. Let's assume you have $142 (with 2 rebuys). This means you've added $50 to your account twice. So your net profit is $142 - the original $50 - 2 rebuys of $50 = -$8.

Etiquette
* Trash-talking is strongly encouraged
* bankroll updates are mandatory via blog comments
* live blogging via the comments areas is strongly encouraged
* rebuys are strongly encouraged
* sidebets are strongly encouraged

Kickoff is tonight at midnight. As GC said, he and I will be playing a $5 HU tourney at the stroke of midnight. Railbirds are strongly encouraged as well :)

We'll be posting soon with all the names, email addresses and FTP usernames of the competitors.

Good luck to all. T-100 minutes to Let's shuffle up and deal !
