For the 1 or 2 of you that read this blog semi-regularly (shout out to goodgirl17 !), I've posted my pre-dinner updates in the comments section of the previous blog.
Dinner was good and I'm now mentally and physically ready to grind as long as I need to in order to take a comfortable lead. At this point, I would consider comfortable to be $100 more than DC assuming DC still has the lead. GC can make $100 fairly easily by multi-tabling $0.50/$1 games, but DC relies very much on MTTs for his profits, so I'm betting he won't cash a big one in the next 29 hours.
I'm starting my evening session with a little $1/$2 9-handed NLHE.
NLHE hasn't gone too well. After a good start where I was up $50 at one point, I've had a move blow up in my face, made two fundamentally terrible calls, and missed a belly-buster flush draw with a live card. Thankfully, the Razz gods looked kindly upon me and I was graced with a massive 5-way $100 pot that I took down.
GC has been multitabling as well playing PLO and NLHE. Rumour has it however that he's spending more time making PLO BFF's rather than tending to his stack.
Current stack updates :
DP - $200.02 w/ 2 rebuys
GC - $176.20 w/ 1 rebuy
DC - $247.10 w/ 1 rebuy
A very tight match with separation of less than $100 between the 3 competitors.
I've donked my stack since the last post down to $157. Easy come easy go. GC just hit quads on PLO. He got paid a bit to help him stem his own bleeding.
We have a new leader !
My current stack is at $325 w/ 2 rebuys. In the last hour, I've had 1 table of $1/2NL and $2/4 Razz. No big pots of note but I've been running well and playing a pretty solid game. I've got some notes on a couple of players and have been picking on them mostly.
I've got about a $28 lead on DC right now, so my work isn't quite done yet. GC's run into a combo of PLO and baby tilt..but the night is still young and it's past Baby Backs' bedtime.

I bought in my remaining bankroll (minus $9) into PLO
I got it AIPF with AAJQ double sooted versus KKTT double suited.
Cardplayer shows me as a 65-35 favorite.
He spiked a T on the flop and that's all she wrote.

I'm continuing to run good and play NLHE and Razz. The stack is currently at $403.82 with 2 rebuys, which puts me just over $100 above DC.
I can't WAIT for DC to get home, read through these blog and curse out "FUCKING DP" !!!
I'm going to rail GC for a bit. I'll likely engage in some small stakes stuff..but nothing that could damage the lead too severely.
So much for small stakes. i go on a bit of a cooler with razz and NLHE to basically drop into a tie with DC. To regain my mojo, I try out a $22+2 18 person tournament. I hit a river to stay alive..but I get rivered to finish 4th with only $15 profit. I then go back to old faithful, $5/$10 Razz and make a quick $80.
Total stack is currently $405.82 with 2 rebuys.
The goal tomorrow is to get to $500..and hope like hell DC can't luckbox an MTT.
GC's got an outside shot still if he runs good at HU. Although after witnessing his 51-minute $5 HU battle that he lost, I'm not sure his confidence is where it needs to be to carry him.

DC and I met up this morning on MSN.
We did a comparison of our games to NFL offenses :
GC : Tenn '08. Big grinding game. But strikes big with a long bomb every now and then to put away opponents.
DP : STL '00. Greatest Show on FTP. Quick strike ability.
GC : Cleveland '08 (last 6 games). Can't score. Romeo Crennel Face. Dead Man Walking.
DC's fired up 2 $0.50/$1 games..and I decided to keep tabs on him by playing at the same table. As Mr Burns says "I like to keep my friends close..and my enemies closer". We both dropped $40 quite quickly due to a couple of bad beats. So basically GC made $40 by doing nothing..not a bad strategy given his luck yesterday. DC made up a bit of his losses even after suffering with KK running into AA. I, on the other, am bleeding like a hemophiliac. My 77 ran into 88, and my set of 2's ran into a set of 6's. Fuck me.
