MCFC 1

The series will run like the FTOPS. Depending on the success, we'll run a new challenge whenever we see fit. Each challenge will be nicknamed.

MCFC 1 - LOL-DONKAMENTS will run from December 1st 2008 - December 31st 2008.

The participants for the inaugural MCFC are as follows:

• GC
• DC
• DP

Note that these are NOT our FTP handles as we're trying to preserve some anonymity.
We want to be saved from the mocking and railbirds who might somehow find this poker blog.

Let me handicap each person's chances of success:

1. DP (2-1 favorite)
   He's known for a very aggressive game and can be found at the 5/10NL 6-max games online or high stakes RAZZ.
   He's known to run extremely good at times but he's also known for his kamikaze moves.
   He'll play a very high volume to keep up with GC in the rakeback challenge.
   He'll take some risks and play with his entire roll at one shot to double up and get some breathing room.
   
   Favorite Hand: AA
   Number of rebuys (over/under): 2.5
   
   
2. GC (3-1 favorite)
   He plays a very straightforward tight (some say too tight) game
   He can be found multi-tabling 1/2NL full ring games on FTP
   He runs like ass when he take very occasional shots at higher stakes (burning money at 5/10NL!)
   He's known to run extremely bad at times and takes vicious beats but should be due for a heater ... right? ...
   He'll play a very high volume 'cause that's how he rolls.
   He'll start off conservatively but will ultimately go on tilt and gamble his bankroll at one table.
   
   Favorite Hand: 97s
   Number of rebuys (over/under): 2.5
   
   
3. DC (4-1 favorite)
   The darkhorse who has tons of time on his hands due to parental leave.
   He can be found in donkaments or small stakes cash games.
   He's known to run anywhere from extremely bad to running like God in an MTT and final tabling a couple of donkaments for an awesome ROI.
   DC will use a very conservative style since he's not concerned with the rakeback challenge.
   He'll count on GC and DP to reload and maintain his edge that way ... if all else fails then he'll luckbox an MTT.
   
   Favorite Hand: J8
   Number of rebuys (over/under): 1.5

MCFC

The premise is quite simple.

3 donkeys have been kicked in the junk lately playing online poker.
Feeling dejected and frustrated with poker we decided to have a month long challenge on Full Tilt poker (FTP).

Taking the well publicized story of how Chris Ferguson ran $0 into $10K we decide to each start with very modest $50 bankroll. The person who has the most money at the end of the month wins. Simple enough and the Modified Chris Ferguson Challenge (MCFC) was born!

Here are the rules:

• Starting bankroll: $50 on FTP
• Duration of MCFC is 1 month.
  
• We can play ANY game(s) we want (RAZZ, NLHE, PLO, MTTs, SNGs) but we can ONLY play within our bankroll
• We can reload anytime we go broke but MUST be broke before reloading to $50
• Session stats will be emailed by each participant each day and will be posted here
• No minimum requirements on hours/hands
• Participants MUST play in ONE $5 SNG Matrix with each other
• Participants MUST play in ONE $5 Heads up tournament against each other

Here are the stakes:

• Winner receives the MCFC engraved trophy and bragging rights!
• Winner receives an item of choice in FTP store (under 10,000 FTP points)
• $20 sidebet between participants on who can generate most rakeback is encouraged
